This page explains what data Bookmerang collects when you use it, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what rights you have over it. We kept it plain, and wrote the technical details openly rather than hiding them.
Bookmerang stores the links you save and the text extracted from them on your behalf, and sends them to AI services to produce summaries and topics. It shows no ads, does not use your advertising ID, and does not sell your data to anyone. You can permanently delete your account and all of your data from inside the app.
Bookmerang is operated by an individual developer.

Bookmerang uses the providers below to deliver the service. They process data on our behalf; your data is never sold or rented to anyone for advertising.

OpenAI does not use data submitted through the API to train its models, and retains it for abuse monitoring for at most 30 days. |

Our servers are located in Germany. Some of the providers listed above (OpenAI, Google, Resend, Cloudflare) may process data on systems located outside Türkiye, in the European Union and the United States. This transfer is necessary in order to provide the service and is carried out only for the purposes described in this policy. For information about the scope, recipients and legal basis of the transfer, write to privacy@bookmerang.app.

The retention and data-use policies of third-party providers may change over time. The statements on this page reflect those providers' terms as of the last update date above.
You can permanently delete your account from inside the app: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete my account.
Deletion cannot be undone and removes, in one step: your account, all of your saved items and the text extracted from them, your topics, reminder history, settings, sessions, notification key, and any of your data waiting in the processing queue. The local copy on your device, your recent searches and your session details are deleted at the same time.

Under Article 11 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad, to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, to request its erasure or destruction, and to object to the outcome of processing.
You can send your requests to privacy@bookmerang.app. Requests are answered within 30 days at the latest.
No system can guarantee absolute security; we continue to take reasonable technical and organisational measures.
Bookmerang is designed for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have, we delete it.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date on this page is revised. For significant changes we will also notify you inside the app.
